NEYYATTINKARA: The Neyyattinkara Samadhi case has turned out to be the most heated topic now in Kerala. Many revelations are adding up every day in the case, leaving investigators and netizens dazed. In one such latest revelation, local resident Sukumaran came up with details about Gopan’s family.
Sukumaran:
“Gopan Swamy had three children and one died earlier. Some months back, I visited his house to check on him. But his wife and son said that Gopan Swamy has turned blind due to age-related ailments. How can such a man walk all this way to the temple to perform Samadhi?
I glimpsed on the poster of his death while on my way to work. I don’t know what happened or the mystery behind it. But my doubt exists, how can a man walk all this distance if he is blind.”
The High Court had earlier rejected the plea filed by the family against the collector's order to demolish Gopan Swamy's samadhi. The court also said that the family should explain how Gopan died.
The court demanded the family produce a death certificate to proceed with the stay order or else said that the court would not interfere in the district collector's order to demolish the Samadhi slab.
