THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan praised senior CPM leader G Sudhakaran, who came to participate in a program organized by KPCC. Along with G Sudhakaran, senior CPI leader C Divakaran also participated in the Guru-Gandhi Samagama centenary celebration organized by KPCC in Thiruvananthapuram. Opposition leader VD Satheesan was speaking after inaugurating the seminar as part of the program.
He praised former Public Works Minister G Sudhakaran and former Food Minister C Divakaran. "Sudhakaran is the most righteous Public Works Minister in the history of Kerala. C Divakaran is the elder brother who gave advice in the Assembly. We have not had to criticize either of them in the Assembly," said VD Satheesan.
G Sudhakaran complimented KPCC for organizing the event. He said that the trend of forgetting history is increasing in Kerala as well. Sudhakaran also said that he does not agree with calling someone a citizen of the world if he is an ambassador of two countries.
The opposition leader said that Sree Narayana Guru and Gandhiji travelled the same path. "Guru ignited the social change in Kerala. After the meeting, Gandhi wrote that the meeting with the Guru and Ayyankali changed him a lot. The message of the Guru-Gandhi meeting should be passed on to the coming generation. Both of them proved that the prison of ideology is not a problem in the fight against the system," the opposition leader said.
