Robbers empty vault within 20 minutes; Massive bank heist at ESAF bank branch, Rs 14 crore stolen

BHOPAL: A major robbery took place at ESAF Bank in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, as gold worth Rs 14 crore was stolen at gunpoint. The robbery took place in broad daylight on Monday at a branch of ESAF Small Finance Bank in Khitola district. It is reported that an armed gang entered the bank, threatened the employees at gunpoint and then robbed them of 14.8 kg of gold and Rs 6 lakh.

The gang, which reached the bank at 9.15 am, entered the bank with their faces covered with helmets. They robbed the bank within 20 minutes and escaped. The police are currently inspecting the CCTV visuals of the incident.

The bank authorities informed the police 45 minutes after the robbery. The CCTV visuals of the incident are currently available on social media.
