Woman gangraped in moving car; more than ten stitches on her face

FARIDABAD: A 25-year-old woman was gangraped in a moving car. The incident happened Tuesday morning in Haryana’s Faridabad. The accused fled after abandoning the woman, who sustained serious injuries, on the road. Reports say that she has 12 stitches on her face.

The police have arrested two on the complaint of her family. The woman left home at 8.30 pm on Monday following an argument with her mother. She was gangraped when she was returning home after meeting her friend. Since it was night, there were few vehicles to reach home. At this time, two youths in a Maruti Eeco van, offered her a lift and took her to Gurugram-Faridabad Road and gangraped her.

They fled after pushing her near the Mula Hotel in Raja Chowk, SGM Nagar, Tuesday morning at around 3 am. The woman then called her sister and told her about the incident. The seriously injured woman is undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Police said that further investigation into the incident is underway.
