News Malayalam channel cameraman Jyotish dies in accident near Bakery junction

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: J B Jyotish (27), a cameraman of News Malayalam channel, died in a road accident on Wednesday in the capital city. He was returning home on a two-wheeler after work on Wednesday morning when the accident occurred near the Palayam Bakery Junction.

The scooter he was riding lost control and hit the pillar of the Bakery Flyover. Jyotish, who was seriously injured in the accident, was taken to the Medical College Hospital but died.

Jyotish is the only son of Joy and Bindu, natives of Nemom. After a public viewing at the News Malayalam Thiruvananthapuram Bureau and the Thiruvananthapuram Press Club, the body was cremated in the house compound.

Police said that the cause of the accident is unclear, and an investigation has been launched. The police said that they are examining the CCTV footage of the area.
