Kerala Polls 2026: Congress appoints Ramesh Chennithala as campaign committee Chairman and Shashi Tharoor as Co-Chairman

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Congress high command has announced key committees to coordinate campaign activities for the upcoming assembly elections. Senior leader and former opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala is the chairman of the campaign committee. The party assesses that Chennithala's wealth of experience in formulating election strategies and leading the campaign will be beneficial. Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor is the co-chairman of the campaign committee. Shafi Parambil MP is the convener of the campaign committee. Benny Behanan MP is the chairman of the manifesto committee. Kodikunnil Suresh is the co-chairman.

The campaign committee has ten members, including Ramesh Chennithala. Shafi has been appointed as the convener to coordinate grassroots activists and youth. The committee, chaired by Benny Behanan, has been given the task of preparing a comprehensive manifesto aimed at Vision 2026.
