Dating app, drug sales and sexual assault; Former Santosh Trophy player arrested in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A former Santosh Trophy player was arrested with MDMA in Thiruvananthapuram today. Najeeb Khan, a senior superintendent of Travancore Titanium, was nabbed by the excise team from a hotel room in Thiruvananthapuram. Four grams of MDMA were seized from him.

Najeeb Khan was under the surveillance of the excise for the last few days. He was selling drugs brought from Bengaluru. Najeeb used to find customers through a dating app. He used to invite youngsters to hotel rooms to sell drugs and later subjected many to sexual torture. Excise Inspector Arun Ashok said that Najeeb has been using drugs for five years. Today, the excise received information that an agent had brought 25 grams of MDMA from Bengaluru for Najeeb.
