AHMEDABAD: Two children died tragically after eating homemade dosa. Three-month-old Raha and Mishri aged four are the two children dead. The children's parents, Vimal Prajapati and Bhavana Prajapati are in very critical condition.
The batter was bought from a local dairy near their house. Vimal bought the dosa batter from Ghaneshyam Dairy on April 1. Vimal made and ate the dosa on the same day. The next morning, Vimal developed uneasiness and sought medical attention.

However, Bhavana, not realizing that it was the dosa batter that caused Vimal's discomfort, made dosa with the same batter and fed it to her children. Later, they too started vomiting. They were then admitted to the hospital.
The first to die was the three-month-old baby on April 4 and the other on April 5. The bodies of the children have been sent for postmortem to determine the exact cause of death. Usually, a three-month-old baby is not given solid food. However, if the mother with food poisoning had breastfed the child, the baby may also have health issues. The police are investigating whether the dosa batter bought from the shop was stale or if it was contaminated with toxins.
