KOZHIKODE: From Thursday morning, a section of private buses started their service in different parts of Kerala. Though bus owners’ association had decided not to operate buses by observing social distancing rules, a section of bus owners was against this stand.

Meanwhile, some unidentified miscreants destroyed the window panes of private buses of Kozhikode bus operators on Wednesday .

Bus Operators’ association informed that if there is no financial crisis, more buses will be operated in the coming days.

Currently a group of bus operators are operating servie in Palakkad-Chalissery, Ottapalam-Shornur, Pattambi-Shornur and Cheruppilassery-Ottapalam routes.

A group of private bus operators started the service today (Thursday) in Ernakulam, Idukki and Palakkad districts. All Kerala Bus Operators Forum is running services in Kochi, Angamaly and Perumbavur sectors in Ernakulam.
