THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K K Rema reached the assembly to take oath as MLA after wearing a badge of her slain husband T P Chandrasekharan. After taking the oath, she told presspersons that the badge was worn indicating the need for a social condition where anybody can live with dignity even after expressing their opinion.
Rema who took the oath had TP’s badge attached to her saree. Rema had won from Vadakara with the electoral support of UDF. She also added that she will represent the stand of RMP and will cooperate with the opposition on issues based on mutual consensus. She also added that she will sit in a separate block. K K Rema had defeated LDF’s Manayyath Chandran in Vadakara in her debut electoral battle. She has secured a majority of 7,491 votes.
