THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government is staging protests to the official level as the Lakshadweep issue is being discussed across the country. The assembly will pass a resolution today calling for the removal of the administrator challenging the protection of Lakshadweep and its people and to take immediate action to protect the lives and livelihoods ahead of this.
The chief minister will present a resolution stating the concerns and stances of Kerala. With the opposition mobilizing in full support of the ruling party's move, the assembly will pass the resolution unanimously. With the imposition of more restrictions on Lakshadweep, Kerala will unanimously demand the removal of the administrator.
It is learned that the resolution contains harsh criticisms against the administrator. The special resolution under Rule 118 calls for the immediate resolution of the concerns of the people of the island and the withdrawal of the controversial reforms.
