KOZHIKODE: BJP leader P K Krishnadas has said that the probe into the Kodakara money laundering case is being carried out as per a script prepared by the CM's office. “An organised effort is being made to malign Surendran and his family’s reputation by dragging them to the case. The chief minister is avenging for implicating his office and trusted officials in the gold smuggling case and in other scandals. An opposition being regulated by Pinarayi is functioning in Kerala,” P K Krishnadas said.
“An IPS officer who had earlier probed the case had said that BJP had nothing to do with the case. After that, he was replaced by certain notorious officials. Now the case is being investigated by the tainted officials who protected the accused in the rape and murder cases of two infant girls in Valayar,” he added. The BJP leader also alleged that it is not an investigation team but an underworld group.
Asked if any of the arrested accused could be identified as having links with the BJP, he said all except one of the accused, are left activists. “Instead of checking the plaintiff's call list and conducting a probe and summoning people for interrogation, why the call list of the accused are not scrutinised and summoned for questioning. They say the reason for this dubious stand is simple, it is because more amount of money was seized from the accused than what is specified in the plaintiff’s complaint. That is why the call list of the plaintiff is scrutinised. BJP will fight against this unitedly,” he added.
