lakshadweep-

KAVARATTI: The Lakshadweep administration has rejected the request of Congress MPs seeking permission to travel to Lakshadweep. Congress MPs Hibi Eden and TN Prathapan had sought permission to visit Lakshadweep. The Collector says that the visit of the MPs will create a law and order problem. He said the visit is politically motivated.

Meanwhile, it is learned that the MPs will approach the High Court for a travel permit.

Lakshadweep's new administrator Praful Khoda Patel's reform move has provoked widespread protests. Filmmaker Aisha Sultana has been charged with sedition for her remark in connection with the incident.
