NEW DELHI: The state government’s correction in the Supreme Court in the assembly ruckus case. The government corrected the previous term ‘corrupted minister.’ The government informed the court today that that the opposition protested in the house on the corruption against the government. The government told the court that there was an act of insulting women members in the assembly.

The court asked the government whether they could claim that the assembly had the authority even if came with a gun. Justice D Y Chandrachud said the government should give an explanation in this regard. Some heated debates are also witnessed in the court and if at all do you think things in the court will be destroyed, asked Justice Chandrachud.

The assembly is the ‘sreekovil’ of democracy. There is no dispute that there is freedom of expression in the assembly. The court asked the government what public interest is behind if the MLAs themselves are behind the attempt to destroy the materials.

Political protests against the government is natural. Members have protection during protests within the assembly. The government's lawyer told the court that the government has the power to close the case. However, the court asked the lawyer under what provision of the law the government has the power to close the case.
