THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Veena George has announced that 3,02,400 doses of Covishield vaccine have been made available to the state. 1,02,390 doses were provided in Thiruvananthapuram, 1,19,050 in Ernakulam and 80,960 in Kozhikode. The available vaccine is being delivered to distribution centers, the minister said in a press release.
Today, 2,45,897 people have been vaccinated. There were a total of 1,420 vaccination centers, including 1,114 government centres and 306 private centres. So far, a total of 2,15,51,808 people in the state have been vaccinated with one or two doses. Of these, 1,52,24,381 were given the first dose and 63,27,427 were given the second dose. According to the estimated population of Kerala in 2021, 43.37 percent people were given the first dose and 18.02 percent the second dose vaccine, the minister said.
