Central recognition for Kerala Police; Medal for Excellence in Investigation for nine officers

NEW DELHI: The Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation has been awarded to nine police officers in Kerala. Officers including SP Harishankar, who probed the Uthra case, have been named the recipients of the medal. DySP A Ashokan and Malappuram SP Sujith Das have also won medals.

152 police officers across the country have been named recipients of the award this year. This includes 28 women police officers, five NIA officers and 13 CBI officers.
