Body of new-born baby found in hospital washroom, suspected to be delivered by minor girl

KOCHI: A body of a new-born baby was found abandoned in the washroom of a private hospital. The incident came to light when a sanitation worker went inside the women’s washroom and saw the body of the new-born baby. The worker soon informed the authorities.

An inspection by hospital authorities found that the baby was delivered by a 17-year-old girl. Police reached the spot and started an investigation. Since it is a POCSO case, it is being investigated who impregnated the girl.
