THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Another goonda attack was witnessed in the capital city. An employee of a petrol pump in Vizhinjam was attacked yesterday. He was attacked for banning the use of mobile phone in the pump. The employee who sustained injuries on his hand has been admitted in the hospital.
The incident happened late last night at the petrol pump in Vizhinjam junction. Two youths came in a bike to fill fuel. When the one behind was seen talking in the phone, the employee told him not to use phone in the pump. A verbal dispute broke out over this. They returned with more people and then attacked the employee. The CCTV footages of the clash have come out.
It is not sure whether they have any criminal background. It is suspected whether consumption of drugs is the reason for the attack. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
