'VIP' in conspiracy case is Dileep's friend Sarath as Balachandra Kumar identifies voice; CB raid continues at Sarath's home

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It is reported that Dileep's friend Sarath is the 'VIP' in the case of conspiring to endanger the officials. It is learned that director Balachandrakumar has identified Sarath's voice. The crime branch is conducting a raid on Sarath's house in Thottumukham in Aluva to confirm this. Police said Sarath is absconding.

Sarath is the owner of Surya Hotel. Sarath was summoned for questioning in the case but did not appear. The raid at his residence was carried out by a team led by Crime Branch SP Mohanachandran. Dileep was arrested when he was with Sarath on their way back from a temple in Thrissur.

After a search in Dileep's house, Sarath was called for questioning but did not appear. Meanwhile, Sarath had approached the high court seeking anticipatory bail after being summoned for questioning. His anticipatory bail petition will be heard on Tuesday. The house is being inspected today as the case is scheduled to be heard tomorrow.
