KODUNGALLUR: Police have come up with more revelations regarding the death of textile shop owner Rinsy who was hacked to death in Kodungallur. Police said that the accused hacked Rinsy over a feud. Rinsy, the wife of Ilangara native Nassar, was hacked to death on Thursday night.

The accused is Riyaz, 25, an employee of Rinsy's shop. He was also Rinsy's neighbour. Rinsy had fired Riyaz from her shop after he began interfering in family affairs. Although Riyaz constantly demanded her to take him back, she refused. It was this animosity that led to the murder.

The incident took place around 7.30 pm last night. She was attacked when she was going in her scooter along with her children aged five and ten after closing her textile shop ‘Nirakoottu.' Riyaz stopped her scooter at a deserted place and then hacked her. She sustained nearly 30 deep injuries all over her body including her face. Her three fingers were detached.
