Will Smith hits host on Oscars stage for joking about wife

LOS ANGELES: Will Smith attacked host at the Oscar ceremony. He slapped host Chris Rock for joking about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

As Chris made a joke about Jada, Will came on to the stage and hit him in the face. Will said it was a joke but shouted twice after returning to his seat.

The authorities have not clarified on whether the act was a prank or not. No official explanation has come out so far.
