Terrorist attack in Kashmir two days ahead of PM’s visit; fire opened at bus carrying CISF soldiers, one jawan killed

JAMMU: There was a terrorist attack towards a bus carrying CISF soldiers near Chaddha army camp in Jammu. One jawan was killed and two sustained injuries in the attack that happened Friday morning at 4.25 am.

The bus was carrying 15 CISF personnel and were attacked when they were going for morning shift duties. Though the terrorists fired, the soldiers retaliated effectively. Authorities said the terrorists then fled the scene.

In another incident, a soldier was killed in a clash between security forces and terrorists in Sunjwan, Jammu. Three sustained injuries. The attack was two days ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit in Samba. Prior to this, the security has been beefed up here. The clash took place following a search conducted by the CRPF and the Police Special Operations Group.
