Almost all Exit polls have unanimously said that the NDA will open its account in the Parliament election this time in Kerala by winning a seat from Thiruvananthapuram constituency where Kummanam was the NDA candidate.
The Exit poll predications that said the Thiruvananthapuram would the lone BJP seat was spurned by BJP State chief P S Sreedharan Pillai though.
However, BJP leader Kummanan Rajasekharan feels that he will win the election.
Following the publication of Exit Polls, Kummanam Rajasekharan reached the famous Kattil Mekkathil temple in Kollam district for darshan and for making special offerings to the deity.
To ensure that his wish comes true, he took part in the famous bell-tying ceremony of the temple.
According to the beliefs if a believer ties a bell at Banyan tree on the south side of the temple, his or her wish will come true. After that he also made a Facebook post about the temple.

Kattil Mekhathil temple in Kollam is noted for its unique traditions and beliefs. Thousands reach this coastal zone for performing Pongala, Mani kettu (trying bell) and Thulabharam every day.
A Kerala government institution called Kerala Metals and Minerals had evacuated more than 800 families from this place. It has been 13 years since, and they are yet to be rehabilitated.
