Exit poll results turning out to be true in Kerala; massive blow for LDF

ls-polls

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As the vote counting moves into its third hour, it appears that the exit poll results in Kerala are coming true. As of now, the UDF is almost maintaining a massive lead in the state as in 2019. The LDF, on the other hand, is narrowing down to a single seat similar to the last time. Another unique scenario is that the BJP is making big inroads by cracking the vote bank.

The majority of exit polls had predicted such a scenario in Kerala. The prediction that the CPM will win 0-2 seats, the NDA a maximum of four seats and the Congress in other seats is almost coming true.

While the LDF's lead has narrowed down to Alathur, the BJP is leading in Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram. While Suresh Gopi has a clear lead in Thrissur, Thiruvananthapuram constituency is witnessing a close fight between Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar and Shashi Tharoor. At present, Rajeev Chandrasekhar has an upper hand of nearly 2,000 votes. Last time, the UDF had a lead of over 20,000 votes at this stage.

In Kerala, the exit polls are coming true at a time when other states' outcomes are going against what the surveys predicted. The election outcome is a serious blow to the CPM, which disapproved of the findings of the exit poll.
