Made obscene video and circulated it on social media, police files charge sheet against actor Poonam Pandey and her ex-husband

PANAJI: The Goa police have filed a charge sheet against model and actor Poonam Pandey and ex-husband Sam Ahmed Bombay in connection with a case of allegedly shooting and circulating an obscene video in Canacona dam area in 2020.

The charge sheet was filed before Canacona First Class Magistrate. According to the charge sheet, as the video surfaced on social media it became a disturbance to the public. Poonam Pandey shared a video of herself dancing and acting in an indecent manner in public through her Instagram account.

Canacona police have registered a case against Poonam and her ex-husband Sam Bombay following a complaint lodged by an assistant engineer in the Water Resources Department. The actress shot the obscene video near the Chapoli Dam. 39 witnesses testified in the case. Poonam and Sam were arrested by the police in November 2020 and released on bail. The case was registered under sections 447, 292,293,294 of IPC under various sections pertaining to obscenity, trespassing, circulation of obscene video and defamation of women.
