Threat to life; Police tighten security for Swapna, CCTV to be installed in office

PALAKKAD: The police have tightened security for Swapna Suresh, who made crucial revelations in the gold smuggling case. The police have set up a 24-hour police guard at the flat of Swapna, accused in the gold smuggling case. The police beefed up security at her house and office after she approached the high court alleging that her life is in danger.

Swapna’s advocate had informed that the audio clips of the dialogues between her and Shaj Kiran of Kottarakkara alleging that he came as an interlocutor of the chief minister will be released at 3 pm today. She will be filing a plea in the high court seeking to withdraw the case registered on the complaint of K T Jaleel.

A CCTV is being placed at the office of Swapna. She said that as her life is in danger releasing all the evidences collected. Meantime, Shaj Kiran said that he did not know the chief minister or CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.
