Chakka Komban attacks Chinnakanal again; ceiling of house collapses, CCTV visuals out

MUNNAR: A wild tusker went on the rampage yet again in Chinnakanal. The tusker Chakka Komban attacked a house in Singukandam Wednesday morning. The tusker tried to damage the house of Manoj Mathew. No casualty has been reported.

The incident happened around 4 am. The elephant who came in front of Manoj's house strongly gored the wall with its tusk. Cracks developed on the wall and the inner ceiling of the house also collapsed. The incident happened when Manoj and his family were sleeping in the house.


They came out after hearing the noise, but by that time the tusker had left the place. Manoj said the area has been witnessing the same situation for days. CCTV footages of Chakka Komban attacking the house has surfaced. The CCTV camera installed in the area captured the visuals of the tusker’s attack.
