THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Organizations such as INTUC and CITU are staging protests in front of the CMD office against the non-payment of salaries to KSRTC employees. CITU workers are staging a protest by forming a human lock in front of the CMD office. The protesters said that higher officials would no longer be allowed to enter office till all employees are paid.

According to the leaders of the organizations, the management has not budged despite many protests, including a hunger strike for the last 22 days. They also said that CMD has not set foot in the KSRTC office since the strike began. The CITU said that it was forming a human lock before the office of the CMD as the CMD was now inspecting the files from the office of the Transport Secretary in the Secretariat. CITU and INTUC workers stopped the officers from entering the KSRTC headquarters today and sent them back.
