THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Implementing SC verdict on Sabarimala women entry should have been with more caution, criticizes CPI (M) state committee. Lack of caution resulted in a loss for the party and BJP managed to cash in on the opportunity. The committee also opined that the govt need not change their stand in the Sabarimala issue.

The committee observed that if the stand is changed, that will create implications at the organizational level. In the election, the party lost votes widely and most of these votes went to BJP, the committee assumed. There were demands for a probe on the party’s defeat at strongholds.
