PATHANAMTHITTA: Pilgrims coming to Sabarimala this time for the Niraputhari festival have been advised to be cautious in the wake of heavy rains. District Collector Dr Divya S Iyer informed that there will be no hindrance for the pilgrims to travel to Sabarimala. The disaster management authority has ordered people not to enter the rivers. So, 'Pampa snanam' will not be allowed. Pilgrims will be allowed only through Swami Ayyappan Road.

KSRTC buses and ambulances will be deployed as and when required for rescue operations. Arrangements for Niraputhari celebrations were reviewed under the chairmanship of the Collector. The Collector informed that the arrangements and officials are ready in case of emergency. Niraputhari pujas are held at Sannidhanam on 4th August.
