NEW DELHI: The country is witnessing the death of democracy, alleged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi while talking to the media at the AICC headquarters. 'The voices of the opposition are suppressed. Not being allowed to raise the issues of the people and are pressuring through investigative agencies. Putting in jails after trapped in cases. Constitutional institutions are under RSS control. Their people are being entrusted everywhere. The more truths are told; more attacks are being made against me. Many issues like price rise, unemployment, China's invasion and others. I am very happy that the government is angry with what I am saying,' Rahul said while talking to the media.

Meanwhile, the police had surrounded the AICC headquarters in Delhi taking into account the widespread protests of the congress against inflation, unemployment and the action of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Along with the Delhi Police, central forces have also been stationed at the spot. Activists from Madhya Pradesh who were present at the AICC headquarters have been detained. Mahila Congress workers protested by cooking on the road.

Prohibitory orders have been clamped everywhere in Delhi except Jantar Mantar. A police board has been installed in front of the AICC headquarters warning that strict action will be taken if this is violated. Security has also been beefed up at Parliament in view of the protests.
