MUMBAI: The police examined the CCTV visuals of the accident involving Cyrus Mistry (54), former chairman of Tata Sons. The car in which he was travelling was over speeded and it covered twenty kilometres in nine minutes.
The investigation revealed that the rear air bag of the car was not working and the two dead were not wearing seat belts. The accident happened while trying to overtake on the left side. The reports that came in said the car was driven by famous gynaecologist Dr Anahita Pandole of Mumbai.
The doctor’s husband Darius Pandole (60), his brother Jahangir Pandole were also in the car. The police had earlier informed that Mistry and Jahangir Pandole were those killed in the accident.
The accident happened when they were returning to Mumbai from Ahmedabad. The Benz he was travelling directly hit a road divider at Palghar in Maharashtra.
