WhatsApp services have come back online after an outage for almost two hours on Tuesday. WhatsApp is now working for Android, iOS, and via WhatsApp Web. Some users still report that the services are not back to normal, which might be resolved quickly.
WhatsApp, the popular instant communication app by Meta, went down around 12 pm IST on Tuesday and the outage lasted for almost two hours. This left WhatsApp users across the globe unable to send or receive messages.
WhatsApp Web, the web client of the communication service, also faced an outage.
This was the first major WhatsApp outage since the service went down last year as part of a massive outage that also hit Instagram, Messenger, Oculus, and Facebook.
The cause of the outage is unknown as Meta hasn't yet come up with an explanation.
