Senior Congress leader Krishnakumar Pandey dies while accompanying Bharat Jodo Yatra

MUMBAI: Bharat Jodo Yatra, led by Congress leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi entered Maharashtra on Tuesday but the start wasn't a happy one. Senior Congress leader and general secretary of Seva Dal, Krishnakumar Pandey died while accompanying the yatra.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that Seva Dal General Secretary Krishna Kumar Pandey was walking with senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh and collapsed suddenly.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra, which started from Kanyakumari in the southern tip of the country, passes through 12 states. The journey covers about 3,500 km on foot in 150 days.

The yatra is marching forward raising slogans against unemployment, inflation and politics of hatred and division.
