Husband kills wife by strangulating her with wedding chain; victim got married six months ago

CHENNAI: A man killed his wife by strangulating her with the wedding chain in Ambathoor near Chennai. The deceased is identified as Pavithra, 28. Her husband Raj, 35, is absconding.

Pavithra, who works as sales girl at a textile shop married Raj, who was her neighbor, six months ago. This was the second marriage of both Pavithra and Raj.

Last week both husband and wife had a heated argument. Their neighbors said that Pavithra’s mother reached their house hearing of the quarrel. The body of Pavithra was found yesterday.
