THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president K Surendran has lashed out at the Kerala government and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan after the court rejected the petition questioning the appointment of KTU VC Ciza Thomas. He said that it would be better if the Chief Minister resigned as the court rejected the government's petition. Surendran said that the government is making itself a laughing stock in front of the general public by consistently facing setbacks in the High Court and the Supreme Court.
"The government faced a huge setback in court in its move to challenge the Chancellor's order through a petition. With this, the court has upheld the Governor's stand and exposed the lies of the government. The Left government, which is using money from the exchequer to fight legal battles for the sake of corruption and nepotism, is a disgrace to Kerala. The court's action of upholding the Governor's stand of rejecting the government's recommendations which were in violation of the UGC rules is tantamount to rejecting all the arguments of the government," Surendran said.
