Kerala Kaumudi shines again at state media awards, TK Sujith bags award for best cartoon, NR Sudharmadas for best photography

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Kaumudi has won the award for best cartoon and photography in the state government's 2020 media awards. The award for the best cartoon is for 'Coronam' by Kerala Kaumudi cartoonist TK Sujith. NR Sudharmadas, chief photographer of Kerala Kaumudi Kochi unit, was awarded the award for best photography for the photo captioned 'Ammamanam'.

Sujith, the son of late TR Kumaran and PR Thangamani of Thirumittakode in Thrissur, is winning the state media award for the eleventh time. He has several accolades including Media Academy Fellowship, Maya Kamath National Award, Thiruvananthapuram Press Club Award (eight times) and Kerala Lalitha Kala Academy Award (three times). His wife is M Namitha, a lawyer. His children are Amal, a sociology student at MG College, and Uma, a class 7 student at Cotton Hill School.
