Four arrested for posing as finance ministry officials and cheating people using forged documents 

NEW DELHI: Four people have ben arrested for cheating people in the name of finance ministry. The team cheated people in the name of a central government project which does not exist bearing the signature of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The Delhi police arrested the accused following the complaint of finance ministry. The arrested are natives of UP and Delhi.

The initial information is that around 3000 people have been victims of fraud by the group. The accused, who had worked in insurance companies, leaked information of people. They approached people posing as officials of the Ministry of Finance and Reserve Bank of India, stating that a new scheme has been announced related to the previously paid insurance policy and that needed money for its processing fee. They showed fake letter pad signed by finance minister and letter pad of RBI to make people believe. The Delhi Police informed that a total of Rs 12 lakh has been recovered from the accused.
