THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A complaint has been lodged for terminating seven KSRTC officials appointed during the tenure of Antony Raju as transport minister, without prior notice. The officials said that when they reached home after work last Thursday, received an email directing them not to come for work from the next day. The officials also pointed out that the management did not comply with the requirement of giving prior notice before dismissal.
Those appointed based on the recommendations of Prof Sushil Khanna report that middle management should be strengthened, were dismissed from service. HR Manager Sheju, finance general manager Beena Begum, two executive engineers of the civil division and three trainee officers of the accounts division were terminated.
Meantime, there are strong allegations that Transport Minister K B Ganesh Kumar is working contrary to the work done by Antony Raju. Ganesh was criticized by people including the CPM for announcing that KSRTC electric buses are running at a loss.
