Two Sub Inspectors suspended for taking bribe through Google Pay

ERNAKULAM: Two Sub Inspectors have been suspended for taking bribe from sand mafia. The suspended officers are Sub Inspectors Joy Mathai and Abdul Rehman of Puthenkurish police station. Rural SP Vivek Kumar had suspended them pending investigation.

Abdul Rehman received an amount of Rs.10,000 through Google Pay and Joy Mathai got Rs.4000 from the mafia. The officers came under investigation after a tip off. During the investigation Dy.SP Ajay Nath found that they had taken bribe and this led to their suspension.
