Nandakumar stole from his own house, he settled Kurien's case: Anil Antony dismisses allegations

PATHANAMTHITTA: Pathanamthitta's NDA candidate Anil Antony dismissed the allegation levelled against him by 'Dallal' (broker) Nandakumar and criticized senior Congress leader PJ Kurien who confirmed the allegations. He also claimed that it was PJ Kurien who introduced him to Nandakumar and said that the Congress is playing dirty politics due to the fear of failure.

"Nandakumar claimed he is Kurien's man. Kurien is behind the fresh allegations. PJ Kurien's controversial case was settled by Nandakumar. Kurien is a backstabber. He cheated K Karunakaran, Oommen Chandy and AK Antony. Nandakumar is a person with a criminal background. He is a person who stole from his own house. He came with a demand to transfer a judge", Anil said.

"Kurien's disciple Anto Antony and his family looted several co-operative banks. Now Nandakumar has been brought to the fore by Anto Antony and PJ Kurien," he added.

Yesterday, broker TG Nandakumar accused Anil Antony of taking a bribe of Rs 25 lakh. In April 2013, during the UPA government, Anil took the bribe after promising to would appoint my friend as the CBI Standing Consul in the Kerala High Court. But it didn't happen. He returned the money after the NDA government came to power. PT Thomas and PJ Kurien know this," Nandakumar alleged. Nandakumar also threatened to release the evidence if Anil denies this incident.

PJ Kurien on Wednesday confirmed these allegations. He said that Nandakumar had met him and asked him to intervene to get back the money Anil Antony had taken. Kurian added that he does not know what the money was paid for and he remembers telling Antony or Anil Antony to return the money if he had taken the money. Kurien further said that Anil will return to Congress when INDIA bloc wins and that is his character.
