KOTTAYAM: Kerala Congress (M) will resign the Kottayam District President post. This follows the party’s agreement with the CPI(M) before entering into the left front. With this, the representative of Kerala Congress (M), Nirmala Jimmy, will tender the resignation.
According to the terms with the left front, the Kerala Congress (M) had agreed to hand over the District Panchayat administration to CPI(M) for the next two years. Interestingly, the Kerala Congress (M) had left the UDF after disagreement over the resignation of this post.
Meanwhile, Kerala Congress (M) Chairman, Jose K Mani MP, have come with the demand to increase the amount of the rubber price stabilization scheme. The MP had said that Kerala Congress (M) is pledged to stand with the farmers during their crisis when starting of the rubber price stabilization scheme. He was speaking at the combined meeting of the party’s Mandalam Presidents and the legislative constituency presidents, when he made his stance clear.
