air-india

NEW DELHI: The drunk businessman, who urinated on a woman passenger in the business class of an Air India flight, reportedly apologized and begged to be spared arrest.

The FIR says that after the incident, the staff brought the offender to the woman's seat saying he wants to apologize. The woman said she was stunned to see Shankar Mishra, the Mumbai-based businessman cry and profusely apologize.

As per the FIR the man said he has a family and did not want his wife and child to be affected by this incident.

The incident took place on an Air India flight from New York on November 26. The very next day, the passenger wrote a letter to the Air India Group Chairman. But Air India filed a complaint with the police only on January 4. Air India's explanation was that they felt like the two sides had 'settled the matter' and that is why they did not lodge a complaint with the police.
