RIYAD: In a historical move, 255 women from Saudi Arabia have graduated from the women's training institute with a specialization in diplomatic security and Hajj Umrah security. This will be the fourth batch to complete the graduation from Saudi's newly formed women's training facility.
These women are adeptly trained in intelligence-related works and are meticulously guided for security control. In 2019, Saudi Arabia started appointing women cadets to security posts in Hajj and Umrah. Women can sign up to join the Saudi Arabian Army, Royal Saudi Air Defense, Royal Saudi Navy, Royal Saudi Strategic Missile Force, and Armed Forces Medical Services.
They can also be recruited as soldiers, lance corporals, corporals, sergeants, and staff sergeants, according to the defense ministry. Saudi Arabia under the leadership of MBS is on a careful walk towards modernity, untangling from the archetypal views that restrict women from enjoying their freedom.
