Sexually assaulted girl student for one month, madrassa teacher behind bars

AROOR: A madrassa teacher has been arrested for sexually assaulting a girl student for more than one month near Aroor in the Alappuzha district. The incident happened in Chandiroor and the arrested is Muhammad aged 62. The culprit has a tainted history of being on the opposite side of allegations for similar cases. Earlier, Muhammad was ousted from a madrassa after allegations rose against his unsolicited sexual advancement toward girl students. The locals voiced their protest over this issue and asked the police to question other madrassa teachers who are in cahoots with Muhammad. The police suspect Muhammad to have assaulted more girls in the madrasa. A search is ongoing.
