Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma filed for divorce after living separately for the last 18 months. Amidst this comes a new twist in the case. Dhanashree's lawyer Aditi Mohan clarified the issue. Aditi informed through a statement that the matter was under the consideration of the court and yet to be settled.

“No further comment. The matter is under consideration by the court. The media should check facts before reporting. Many misleading facts are being spread through SM” said Aditi Mohan.

It was also reported that Dhanashree demanded Rs 60 crore from Chahal as alimony. But Dhanashree's family said it was baseless. It was reported that the final hearing of the divorce case was held at the Bandra Family Court last Thursday. After the hearing, both were advised to attend a counselling session. However, nothing came out of it as the two decided to part ways mutually.

In 2023, Dhanashree took away her suffix Chahal from her Instagram bio, evoking doubts among netizens. Rumours started spreading about an impending split after Chahal hinted at starting a new life through one of his social media posts. Chahal and Dhanashree got married in December 2020.
