Swetha Menon is a favourite star of the Malayalee audience. Swetha, who came to cinema from modelling and anchoring, received the Kerala State Award for Best Actress in 2011. Also part of Parallel Films, Swetha's performance in 'Salt and Pepper' was much noticed. Swetha's debut was 'Anaswaram' which was released in 1991.
An interview of the star is going viral on social media recently. Swetha talks openly about losing some of her friendships in the film industry. The presenter asked what was the reason for losing friendship with Manju Warrier, Bhavana, Geethu Mohandas, Poornima and Samyukta Varma. In response to this, Shweta replied that 'their views have changed'.
Shwetha's words...
'I am a straightforward person. I don't know how to mince words. I am a single child and I only know how to love. I find it very difficult when someone lies to me.
I don't interfere in anyone's life and tell lies. I'll be straight no matter what. There was something out of harmony between us. It was because of lying. I am from Bombay. Why am I bothering them all? Coming from Bollywood, I had no problem there. After coming here, I realized why I am struggling' - said Swetha.
When asked if the Dileep-Manju Warrier issue was a reason, Swetha replied that it was not the only reason. 'It's not, it's just in a different way now. I didn't like a few things. There was no fight or war. We parted ways saying 'It's ok, fine, good luck'. Swetha is not in that group now. No one's life has stopped because of that'- Swetha clarified.
