'Won't accept resignation of AMMA office-bearers including Mohanlal, rejecting it with contempt'

KOCHI: Union Minister and actor Suresh Gopi said that the resignation of AMMA office bearers, including Mohanlal, will not be accepted and will be rejected with contempt. He was speaking at the Kerala Piravi celebration and family gathering organized by AMMA.

"They were elected through a large mandate. They should apologize for their mistakes, seek forgiveness and return to their positions. Otherwise, AMMA members should voluntarily convene a General Body meeting and punish them. Are you ready to do it?" Suresh Gopi asked.

"When the Dileep controversy emerged, I was questioned by the media, and I refused to disown the organization. Where else in the world is there an organization that gives ₹5,000 as financial aid? A group tried to destroy it. I won't say it's entirely false, but there's truth to it. The AMMA organization must stand strong. I don't accept the mass resignation that happened two months ago. I reject it with contempt," Suresh Gopi said.
