CHENNAI: In a bid to end drama and claim stake for the government, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam president Vijay will meet the Governor again at 4.30 pm today. The meeting between the VCK, CPM and CPI parties, which won two seats each in the assembly elections, is underway in their respective offices. With the Congress announcing support to the single largest party, TVK, it currently has a majority of 112 seats. Vjay’s TVK now needs six more seats. In this situation, the meeting with the Governor is crucial.

There are also rumours that Vijay is meeting the governor after securing the seats of the VCK, CPM and CPI parties. Meanwhile, TVK leaders are holding talks with rebel leaders in the AIADMK. Sengottaiyan, who left the AIADMK and joined the TVK, is leading the rebel movement. The move is to accept the support of rebel leaders CV Shanmukham and OS Maniyan and the MLAs supporting them by accepting their demands. The 28 MLAs supporting the rebel leaders are currently at a resort in Puducherry.
