No cracks developed in Mullaperiyar, water level should be increased to 142 ft, Tamil Nadu tells SC

NEW DELHI: Tamil Nadu has submitted an affidavit in the Supreme Court stating that no cracks were developed in the Mullaperiyar dam due to the earthquake. Tamil Nadu also sought permission to increase the maximum water level in the dam to 142 feet. It also told the court that Kerala's claim that the final rule curve of the dam was not ready was wrong.

Earlier, Tamil Nadu had informed the court that Kerala was raising unnecessary concerns. Tamil Nadu had also written to Kerala informing that it had taken necessary precautions to regulate the inflow into the dam.
